Clothing/ Textiles and Shoe Collection Drive

Saturday, September 10th

9:00 am—12:00 pm (Noon)

(please do not drop off items outside these hours or contact Doris Carnahan if you need to help.)

Accepting Used Textiles & Shoes

  • Please separate textile & shoes
  • Place them in separate plastic bags
  • Textiles include: clothing, bed linens, pillows, blankets, comforters, curtains & drapes, towels, etc.
  • Shoes—dress shoes, tennis shoes, & other casual footwear
  • Please bind the shoe pairs together (shoelace, rubber bands)

All Items Should Be Clean and in Bags. Some Rips and Stains

Your textile products will help Living Waters Ministries meet the physical, social, and spiritual needs of Kenosha County residents. Over the years the United Methodist churches that make up Living Waters Ministries have supported Shalom Center, Sharing Center, and other programs, agencies, and projects.

 

Adult Class

September 11th

Adult Class will start on Sunday, September 11th after worship beginning at 9:30 AM. You are invited to join us.

 

ABC Project (Angel's Blankets for Children)

We are starting the Blanket Bees back up in September. We will meet on Wednesday, September 21st from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Calvary UCC. We hope you will join us. If you need blankets to work on, please let us know. Any questions contact Glenna Kisner.

 

Shalom to Home Kits

Living Waters Ministry is helping Shalom Center with their Shalom to Home kits which help the homeless transition to independent living. If you don't want to shop, we will accept monetary donations; just mark the envelope "Shalom to Home" and we will do the shopping. The kits are Bathroom, Cleaning Supplies, and Kitchen. Operation Christmas Child

In September, we will need pads of paper (approx. 4x6), plastic soap cases, plastic toothbrush cases, small stuffed animals (size of Beanie Baby), small toys, socks (all sizes) and money for shipping $10 per box.
